Pure PLUTONITE material was used to enable 100% protection for our eyes from harmful UV rays such as UVA, UVB, UVC and harmful blue light of up to 400nm. Even the possibility of UV light getting in from the sides was addressed with an 8.75-base lens curvature. For some lenses this may cause a fun-house-mirror effect but for SPLINTER this wasn’t an issue due to the fact that XYZ OPTICS ensures maintained clarity all throughout the curve.

In this light, you have top clarity and impact protection that even exceeds the standards set by ANSI Z80.3. The HDPolarized or IRIDIUM lens coatings also provide a low glare factor for your eyes that is not at all offered among ordinary polarized lenses.

The Frame:

You can expect that the frame for this line are made of C-5 alloy a blend of five metal compounds that provides perfect durability and low weight quality for a comfortable wear all-day long.

There are also custom-engineered spring hinges with an added UNOBTAINIUM sleeves to the temples that allows a secure fit to keep SPLINTER in place even under sweaty conditions. The Three-Point Fit is truly a great advantage since it allows a great support and hold for the lenses producing a precise optical alignment.
